International Competitors

Age Requirements

• Age is determined as at Wednesday 22nd October 2025

• Minimum age for competition is 30 years

 

Age Divisions

• 30-40, 41-50, 51- 60, 61+

• Age is determined as of Wednesday 22nd October 2025. Minimum age is 30 years.

• Fighters may be matched across age divisions provided there is no more than 10 years separating the fighters. 

• Over 70 ? We are sorry but there are no divisions for over 70’s in MBI competitions

 

Event Divisions (16 limit)

• Men and Women: There’s a limit of 16 fighters allowed per division.

 

Tournament Fight Format

• All divisions will fight over 3 x 2  minute rounds

• Winners advance to the next round. (Elimination format)
   

Event Divisions

• Men and Women:

  • Combat Class Division (1-5 fights)

  • Open Division 6 + fights

Weight Divisions:

• Bantam Weight ( 50 kg and below) female only

• Light Weight (50.1kg – 57.5 kg) 

• Welter Weight (57.51kg – 65.0 kg)

• Middle Weight (65.1kg – 72.5 kg)

• Light heavy Weight (72.51kg – 80.0 kg)

• Cruiser Weight (80.1kg – 87.5)

• Heavy Weight (87.51 kg – 95 kg)

• Super heavy Weight (95.1kg –102.5kg)

• Open Weight (102.5+)

 

Tournament Briefing

Wednesday 22nd October - 2025

Tournament briefing (for athletes and trainers): 6:00pm at the venue (TBA).

This is an informal briefing session for boxers and trainers by the Tournament Director and covers the tournament structure, trainer requirements and an opportunity for Q&A’s. Recommended, but not compulsory.

Compulsory Weigh-In

Thursday 23rd October – All registered boxers

6am – 10:00am There will be a single compulsory weigh-in on the morning of the first day of the competition for all boxers, no exceptions. (Dehydration and resultant boxer collapse is one of the most dangerous aspects of the sport. A single weigh-in aims to eliminate this factor. Nominate your fighting weight from the start.)

• Session One: 12:00pm – 5:00pm

• Session Two: 6:00pm – 11:00pm

 

Friday 24th October :

• Session Three: 12:00pm – 5:00pm

• Session Four 6:00pm – 11:00pm

 

Saturday 26th October :

• Session Five: 12:00pm – 5:00pm

• Session Six: 6:00pm – 11:00pm

 

Sunday 27th October :

• Session Seven : 11:00am– 4:00pm

Doors open for spectators 30 minutes before the session start.

Boxers must be available all 4 days. Any requests to fight on a certain day/session or corner colour requests will not be considered.

Each competitor is required to pay a registration fee of $450 AUD

Additional Information

• All Boxers must be registered with Masters Boxing international or Masters Boxing Australia (MBA). You will require an MBI or MBA membership number when completing your online entry into the event. 

• MBI World Champion Titles will be awarded to any Open Class winner at the Pan Pacific Masters! Not only will winners earn the title of MBI World Champion, but they will also take home the coveted MBI World Championship "Perpetual Belt", a symbol of excellence and enduring achievement in the sport. 🥇Every winner across all divisions at the Pan Pacific Masters will also be awarded the distinguished PanPacific Masters Boxing Title. This honor solidifies their standing as true champions in their respective divisions. In addition, our runners-up will proudly take home silver medals, while the two third-place competitors will receive bronze medals, recognizing their outstanding efforts and achievements in the ring. 🥇🥈🥉

• All Boxers will compete as Masters Boxers

• All Boxers will wear 16oz gloves. MBI Approved

• Gloves and headgear will be provided. You can use your own headgear provided its open face and approved by the head gloving steward.

• You will need a medical clearance (Fitness to Box) and serology results, both current within 12 months of 23rd October 2025, red and blue singlet, cup protector and mouthguard. Shorts must have a clear  band at the top. Black shorts are allowed. Black singlets also, however if both corners have black, red corner gets the preference to wear it and blue corner must change to a blue singlet.

• Tournament Draw: Following the compulsory weigh-in/medical, a tournament draw will be posted at about 11am on Friday 23rd October- allowing for a 1 pm start.

• A doctor will be available 1 hour before the start of the each session each day. All boxers must be passed by the Doctor to fight.

• Former Professional Boxers cannot compete at the MBI World Championships if they have fought professionally within the last 24 months.

• Trainers must be over the age of 16. Only one trainer will be allowed in the ring before, during, and after the bout. Trainer will need to be MBI accredited.

• MBI World Championships bouts are judged using a professional and fair system based on international protocols. All decisions are final.

• The competition is presented and organised by Masters Boxing International in conjunction with Masters Boxing Australia INC  and sanctioned by Masters Boxing International.
